background lighter, change the text color to black, and also tone down the
colors of the examples.
I don't have strong color preferences, so I'm mostly okay with this, but I
like having the EXAMPLES blocks set off with a different background color.
So here's a slight variant on your css.patch; the only difference is that,
while I'm keeping your light gray as the general background, the
background for the examples is white.
