Comment:

 Ok, this was some strange output from the doctesting framework not liking
 the new lines and `...` in the expected output.

 I guess we could set this to positive review if Travis or Simon is ok with
 my latest changes (_internal_convert_map_from and the combinat doctests)
 and avoid further painful rebasing.
