 it gets changed to (1,). Python automatically recognises that A, == (A,)
 anyway as tuples are defined by the commas and not the brackets.
 What I mean is that perhaps the ''desired'' input method should be without
 commas.  Vince's comment seems good - maybe one could include an example
 and then clarify where/when it would be suboptimal to use the `(1)`
 notation.  I'm not worried about `A,` versus `(A,)` because most non-
 Python-gurus are not going to be putting the commas in!
