Thank you for fixing this!
I hope I understand correctly that I should not merge it into #17435 now.
I think I have put #17435 to "needs work" because of merge issues. But if
it works as it is, then, according to Volker, I should simply leave it,
and postpone merging until being requested by either the reviewer or the
release manager.
