 Basicaclly just the `next` and `prev` features. There is a single spot
 using `next` in the Sage library (in `Compositions` IIRC), and I doubt
 they are much used elsewhere.

 `next` should be rather straightforward to implement if someone needs it.
 I created #18058 for this.
