Yeah, I see your point. If really needed, we could do that. But this means
some non trivial work. It was quicker to first cleanup the interface
between `IntegerVectors` and `IntegerListsLex` before adapting it to the
new `IntegerListsLex`.
Ah, I should mention that there probably will be a minor conflict with
#17927. I can handle the merge in #17927 once this one is finalized.
