I think we should base this over #17798 since I had mucked around with the
`CartanMatrix` constructor, which might fix the index set issue. If not,
then I can look into it in more detail. I also don't like the change
needed to get the relabel to work. Let me know when you're ready for me to
take an deeper look into things here.
