 Right on both counts. I renamed the parameters, and fixed those two
 doctests. Now I save the result of `random_cone()` and check only the
 relevant property.

 I also removed a bunch of the redundant tests and cleaned up a little.

 I think I'm receiving trac notifications again so I should be more
 responsive...
