By the way, in case it is relevant, the BSD's use different soname
policies than Linux, Cygwin, Msys2 or OSX. So flint is almost certainly
broken on BSD. But I recently lost access to the last BSD machine I could
use. So there's not much I can do for BSD. No doubt Solaris/SunOS is
different again.
