 Arghs. Just noticed that this does not work in Sage even before this
 patch. It the right correction

 {{{
 if not hasattr(elms, '__getitem__'):
     sorted_o = elms
 else:
     sorted_o = list(elms)
 }}}

 ? Or is there still something more to think about?
