 I wonder how to proceed from here: the resulting sage is functional, but
 libraries are only found in the original build-location. Using
 install_name_tool for all produced dynlibs seems unpractical to me...

 Could we maybe trick the linker into "flat_namespace" mode by exporting
 something like `CFLAGS="-Wl,-flat_namespace"` globally. Any opinions if
 that might be a viable option?
