Hard to say what the problem could be without looking into the build logs.
I would suggest to try a (very) clean rebuild first, using a fresh
checkout; without the fixes in this branch you might end up with a
corrupted "gcc" in local/bin, and that potentially messes up every
subsequent build in the same installation. I would suggest to
- use a fresh checkout
- make sure the environment is sane (no CC, CXX, CFLAGS, etc.)
- build single-threaded, i.e. no MAKE="make -j..."
If this also fails it might help to post the full build log somewhere.
