Ah, I see what you mean. I'm sorry, I didn't read your example closely
enough and though you were truncating off the 2 leading terms.
However, list and slice already don't commute because of the python wrap
around, so I'm not so sure on how much we should enforce the exact same
behavior (granted, an error gets raised in the polynomial case). I
personally would find that the degree was lowered more surprising if we
still wanted slices to return polynomials as opposed to a list of the
coefficients. Yet I don't really have much invested in this.
