Comment:

 Here is the above tweak (which I did some editing to) that has about a %1
 slowdown of the current version but doesn't do the extra printing.

 Is `IsIdenticalObject` really that expensive in GAP? It seems like it
 would be the equivalent of `is`, and so it should be fast...
