 If we have to we could deprecate `sage -gp` (but that would be a shame).
 However, removing `sage.interfaces.gp` is not an option. Currently,
 `modular.buzzard`, `lfunctions.dokchitser`,
 schemes.elliptic_curves.gp_simon` depend on it. The scenarios there create
 a separate instance of a `gp` interpreter (for good reason!), so I don't
 think we'll be rewriting those very soon to work with the pari library
 directly.

 So, in order to ensure the current binary packaging strategy is viable, I
 think we need to clarify the unclear text/binary end-of-string markers in
 the gp executable.
