I believe that the fraction field of a power series ring over a base ring
``B`` should be identical with the Laurent series ring over the fraction
field of ``B``. This is implemented in ticket #8972.
I am tempted to say "let's wait until #8972 is refereed", because the doc
tests I am constructing here will depend on whether #8972 gets merged or
not.
What is the policy in those cases? Should I simply continue the work on
the doc tests and care about #8972 later?
