Comment:
I've now tested this on !OpenSolaris, OS X and Linux. Setting SAGE64 to
"yes" forces a 64-bit build. The binaries can be seen to be 64-bit when
built with SAGE64=yes.
{{{
drkir...@hawk:~/sage-4.4.2$ file local/lib/libz.*
local/lib/libz.a: current ar archive, not a dynamic executable or
shared object
local/lib/libz.so: ELF 64-bit LSB dynamic lib AMD64 Version 1,
dynamically linked, not stripped, no debugging information available
local/lib/libz.so.1: ELF 64-bit LSB dynamic lib AMD64 Version 1,
dynamically linked, not stripped, no debugging information available
local/lib/libz.so.1.2.5: ELF 64-bit LSB dynamic lib AMD64 Version
1, dynamically linked, not stripped, no debugging information available
drkir...@hawk:~/sage-4.4.2$
}}}
The -fPIC flag is added by the latest zlib source code, so there is no
need for spkg-install to add it.
As such, I do not envisage any problems with this package. It is now ready
for review. Please get it from:
