 Thanks for adding me Dave I will update my patch to simplify slightly
 the build to this version of singular. I know from experience in sage-on-
 gentoo
 that sage will build and the tests will be ok if you remove the
 build_factory
 and build_libfac targets.
 As a bonus the creation of the link LIB to lib is 1) bogus 2) useless.
 In a build of singular LIB usually contains the the *.lib files. Those
 files
 are installed in share/singular thanks to some of the instructions in the
 build.
 Before being removed and recreated the link actually points to
 share/singular.
 Removing the link didn't harm any tests.

 The only issue with removing these 2 targets may be the optional Macaulay2
 spkg. We have some discussions atm in gentoo about singular - the
 components
 it provides - and Macaulay2. So while sage builds ok, Macaulay2 should be
 checked.
