To build both singular and Macaulay2 our current approach
is too try to build omalloc factory and libfac first, and then move on to
the
rest of singular/Macaulay2. That approach makes sense in the context of
Gentoo.
If it works I may try to adapt the singular spkg build process to match
it.
It is not a done deal that this approach will work however.
