That's a lot of stuff to look at :-)
I am personally a fan of GNU {{{autoconf}}} for these situations because a
lot of these checks can be simplified. However, I tried in vain to
convince the PARI/GP developers to use {{{autoconf}}}. Maybe I should do
it for Sage just to prove a point...
