If I understand correctly, this is a probably a Pari bug, which the Pari
developers will hopefully fix. (It might not be of course - I'm not saying
it is a Pari bug).
I would suggest that it would suggest it might be wiser to just add the
bug fix to the Sage package, and not use the very latest svn checkout.
That should reduce the chance of you getting any new bugs that might have
been created. Since these are only svn snapshots, they can't be expected
to be as stable as a well tested release.
Of course, it would be wise to ask the Pari developers too, but my general
feeling is that it would be wise to make major changes now.
