Well, I wrote ''"'''a''' GP script"''; John's doesn't resemble what Sage
actually does.
Try {{{ellorder(E,Q)}}}...
With true [http://gmplib.org/ GMP] 5.0.1 (and ECM 6.3), Sage 4.6.prealpha3
passes all tests for me; I'll try later on further machines.
I've put a remark on the [http://wiki.sagemath.org/NewPARI NewPARI Wiki
page], and will revert #8664 to "needs work".
