That would be nice too. My point was more to the fact that numpy uses the
static library rather than the shared one. If I trust ldd output from my
install
on linux sage's numpy is always linked to the static library.
Obviously there are cases were you need the static library on some
platforms but
it should only link to the static library on those platforms. I will look
to see if that comes from the numpy spkg while working on #9808
