Comment(by jhpalmieri):
> Well it appears that my sage installation lacks liblapack.so. This
probably explain that. I am sure it should have been created. it is
strange I seem to miss it.
I've seen this before, for example on sage.math. Toward the end of the
atlas log file, I see
{{{
ld -L/mnt/usb1/scratch/palmieri/sage-4.5.3.alpha0/local/lib -shared
-soname liblapack.so -o liblap\
ack.so --whole-archive liblapack.a --no-whole-archive -lc -lm -lgfortran
ld: cannot find -lgfortran
ld -L/mnt/usb1/scratch/palmieri/sage-4.5.3.alpha0/local/lib -shared
-soname libf77blas.so -o libf7\
7blas.so --whole-archive libf77blas.a --no-whole-archive -lc -lm
-lgfortran
ld: cannot find -lgfortran
}}}
I've never noticed that it caused problems, not that I would know exactly
what to look for anyway.
