Debian and Fedora both patch tachyon to produce a shared library. This
would then enable us to write a reasonable previewer in cython without
pushing temporary files around. Realtime raytracing is the future, they
say :-)
Certainly we could, but IMHO out of the scope of ''this'' ticket. I think
we should first provide an spkg with just the current upstream (stand-
alone) version, which has to be tested as well.
The patch needs to be tested on various systems; it e.g. calls {{{make}}}
instead of {{{$(MAKE)}}} inside the Makefile, which one should never do.
