Are you sure that you have the most recent (i.e., the merged) 1.0.0 spkg
from this ticket? Can you try sage -f just in case (you see that there
have been updates to the 1.0.0 spkg on this ticket as time went on)
Or wait. Are you saying that the font cache file created by the new(est)
spkg here is causing problems with older versions of matplotlib?
