You could perhaps steal an ATLAS library from Florent, if you don't care
about its performance.

I really think Sage users on [Open]Solaris should set up their path to
have the POSIX versions first in it. Sage's {{{configure}}} could check
that. (Or we could modify {{{PATH}}} in {{{sage-env}}} accordingly.)
