 I don't have a strong opinion about this, but I lean slightly toward
 agreeing with you.  At least allowing SAGE64=yes on any system maintains
 the status quo, more or less.

 Do you think we should print a warning saying that it might not be fully
 supported, or just accept SAGE64=yes silently on platforms other than OS X
 and Solaris?
