 Need not be suddenly.

 If e.g. just `make install` fails with multiple jobs, we could just do
 `$MAKE -j1 install`.

 Also, failures might be limited to the OS (e.g. MacOS X), in which case we
 shouldn't disable parallel builds on all platforms.

 If parallel builds or installs just non-deterministically fail in, say,
 5-10%, it would IMHO be acceptable to enable them though, since on a
 failure one simply has to rerun `make` or `./sage -i ...`.
