Yes, I think that is the case - nicely summed up.
No, I am not at all an expert on toric varieties (though I wish I had
learned more about them in graduate school now, they are so concrete), so
I can't help review. The title of the ticket was just too good not to
click on, and then I had this minor point which ballooned into a
conversation. Since of course lots of stuff IS toric that one might care
about, I am glad you are doing it, but I'm sorry that it's above my pay
grade for now. If I had a sabbatical right now we might be talking ;)
