 For the record, this is what I have done so far:
  * 164 tests with a maximum delay of 20 ms. These are taking about 5
 minutes to build Singular.
  * 40 tests with a maximum delay of 500 ms. These are taking about 22
 minutes to build.
  * 10 tests with a maximum random delay of 5 seconds when invoking the
 compiler. These take about 21 minutes to build.
  * 9 tests with a maximum delay of 5 seconds. These are taking about 22
 minutes to build.

 All times are only '''very''' approximate, and are on heavily loaded
 machine. (Load average is about 18, on a quad core hyperthreaded 3.33 GHz
 Xeon.)
