I don't think the patch to the {{{$SAGE_ROOT/local/bin}}} is doing what
you want. The file being patched there is just the spkg-install file for
the scripts repository; it's not a template for general spkg-install
files. (So if nothing else, your new comment at the top of the file
should be changed or deleted.) If you want to patch other spkg-install
files, you'll have to patch each repository -- the Sage library, extcode,
and sagenb -- individually.
