I am impressed, but not really surprised! The category code (and related)
had not been fine tuned, and Simon is getting ever more an expert at that
:-)

I should mention that I won't have time to do a detailed review. But I am
following closely Simon's comments, and any lack of comment from me means
I am +1 on his detailed proposed changes.
