I repeated the `sage -t sage/schemes` test. The improvement is smaller
than in the first run, but I still see an improvement:
* 648.1 s with unpatched sage-4.7.2.alpha2
* 664.9 s with unpatched sage-4.7.2.alpha3
* 599.6 s with sage-4.7.2.alpha3 plus the patches.
However, it has only been 583.3 s in unpatched sage-4.6.2. Has the number
of tests in sage/schemes increased since 4.6.2?
