constant_function.py to constant_function.pyx but instead you simply
 deleted `constant_function.py`.

I didn't. Mercurial did. In fact I had `hg add`ed the pyx file. But later,
it somehow disappeared from the patch. Thank you for pointing that out.

new file, since renaming is tracked by hg.

How can I rename it ''now''? I already did delete the old and add the new
file. So, how can I tell mercurial that it should instead rename the old
file and incorporate the changes that I also did?
