 Oh, I see - I forgot about this replacing the Fortran.

 Well, but if it won't compile Pari, then maybe we should just stick with
 that.  Why not just use the old Apple-shipped gcc for 10.4 and 10.5 or
 something?  That seems very reasonable.  And cuts down on build time for
 already old slow systems.
