Alex, can you add an example where your patch is called with coefficients
in a ring?
About {{{3/1}}} giving a rational, this is ok for me. Indeed, you don't
want the type of the result
to differ when the division is exact or not: {{{3/2}}} and {{{3/1}}}
should give both rationals.
