I cannot reproduce the problem...so I think this will have to wait until
we get more info.

I think this is resolved. I cannot reproduce the hangs I sometimes saw.
There is no question that loading an unsigned applet causes the initial
load to slow down, but after that there seems to be no trouble.

I was going to try, but see a problem. This ticket requires changes to
both the notebook and Sage. The pull would just be for notebook, right?

I'm going to clear the two work issues and replace with "decide default
