Note that the conflicting types might not even a problem, as Cython
doesn't really care much about types. The definition
{{{
ctypedef unsigned long mod_int
}}}
mostly just makes Cython aware that `mod_int` is some integer type, the
actual type doesn't really matter as far as I know.
