Perhaps 64-bit integers need to be 8-byte aligned as well? Also, I guess

ctypedef unsigned long mod_int
}}}
should be replaced by the correct typedef, to make it less confusing. In
any case, I opened a new ticket at #13151 since this is not M4RIE
releated.
