{{{x}}} and {{{y}}} should ideally be integer polynomials (i.e.,
{{{R.<x,y> = ZZ[]}}}) -- then you don't have to deal with manually
"expanding".
Additionally, in the {{{tuttepolynomial.sage}}} code, you should probably
be caching a canonical label of the graph -- see the {{{cache_key}}}
method in my patch.
