I don't think I can be the one to review this being responsible for most
of the upstream changes, and in any case I don't have a cygwin system to
test on. But in any case I have built the new spkg successfully (on top
of 5.3.beta1 on 64-bit ubuntu linux), applied the patch and am now doing a
full test which I'll report back on.
