Minor girl complains of rape 20 Jan 2009, 0000 hrs IST, TNN PANAJI: Calangute police have registered a case of rape against one Norman from Verem after a 17-year-old girl alleged that she was sexually assaulted by him after befriending her at Candolim.
Police sources said that the girl in her complaint said that her father had expired two months back and she was working at a house in Candolim where the accused befriended her. The boy then took the girl along with his friends on a trip to Mandrem, where he raped her. Later, he raped her again at Saligao. Police sources said that the minor was in the boy's custody from January 10 to 15. Later on January 16, the girl was dropped by the accused's friend near Saligao circle from where she returned home.
