Yeh Patsy, you wont know the mother, but I am sure you know the son Orlando Vaz & would remember his sister Monica Vaz who was in same batch as Angela Doyle & the rest, or perhaps Annunciation & the others. Orland (as we call him) was in Lourdes Convent till 6th/7th Std. before he left for the Seminary & further studies.. he has a very good voice & has been singing & helping in the Church in Saligao (obviously being in Donvaddo). Orlando was also at the Kala Academy by virtue of his singing voice & musical talents.

Those in Saligao would already have heard the sad news of the demise of Mrs. Lucy Vaz. I think many Saliganvkars would know Orlando Vaz from Donvaddo. His mum had a fall in January around the time I was in Goa & had surgery too but never fully recovered. The funeral was yesterday.
