Dear Blaise / Alwyn ,

Its real great to know that you Saligao folks are coming together to do
something for the village - keep it up !!
But I have a suggestion , when I was down in Goa a couple of weeks back for
a short stay ( wish I could prolong it though ! ) I happened to visit the
Saligao graveyard ( to pay respects to some of my relatives who are
interred there ) . I later decided to take a lil walk and found a nice
little bridge ( by the side of the graveyard ) where I sat down to eat a
sandwich and the stench was unbearable !! Below the bridge lay piles and
piles of plastic garbage strewn all over the place which was shocking . I
hope and wish that those who dump this plastic waste around the village are
stopped from doiing so and please guys something needs to be done about
this on an urgent basis - I also noticed that a lot of tourists visit the
nearby Saligao church and click photoghraphs - this plastic garbage is
bound to create a bad impression about Goa in the minds of the tourists !!
