Goodness gracious! Cashew wine? So what was/is the prize? Rico, are you sure you want only details of prize & not details of the process? Loumel's, beware!... just kidding!
Louis & Melissa, Congratulations! Ensure that you dont give any details of the process else we'll have a surfeit of the wine in Saligao. On second thought, perhaps it would be a good idea to pool all knowledge & start a small scale business in Saligao - of the people, for the people, by the people - with Louis at the head.....proceeds of sale of the wine (to people other than Saliganvkars) could be used to fund the various projects Saligao has in mind for the development of the village & the villagers.
Good idea? Perhaps not for Loumel's, after all business is business. So never mind. All the best to you both! Great entrepreneurs! I heard others are following in your footsteps!!!.....or trying to...

Well, I cant see Louis & Melissa stamping & stomping on the cashews so as to extract the juice as it is done in the vineyards (grapes), so I guess it is not "feni" - I think I'm confused ... grapes, cashews, are some boxes/crates. dug up holes, mud involved or not? That would be Loumel's secret I guess.
On a different topic, thanks to Fr. Nasciment for his posting on Fr. Macquin's (gosh, I gotta call him whom I knew as a kid running around & making mischief, "Father"?) celebration of mass in the church on 16th (was that his birthday too?). On reading the posting, I felt as if all the priests were there - reminded me of the 100 priests mass on Centenary of the Church...
Anyway, once again congratulations to Fr. Macquin & his entire family, all Donvadkars including myself (I feel very happy knowing that Donvaddo has a young priest), and all Saliganvkars in Goa & around the world. God has been kind & we are blessed.
