Hi Annette, Maxwell, Chris and Denis.... Appears my intial attempt did not get through to the list as I sent it from my gmail account (which may not be registered to the SaligaoNet list). Anyway, I am forwarding it without attaching any Saligao related jokes ;-)

Ethnic jokes made by a member of that community are marginally acceptable so if Marshal modified the joke to involve a suicidal Saligaokar at the Tivim station, it may not have been as funny but would have been more politically correct ;-) Found a really interesting link to challenging our prejudices on a Pakistani site which addresses exactly this issue http://www.yespakistan.com/forpakistan/correctethnicjokes.asp Learned more than I wanted to know about jokes from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joke Was also sorry to learn about the recent deaths in Goa of people I knew personally. Henry 'Cooper' and Anton (Green Bar) Caitan's wife. I didn't know Francis' mum as well as other's who passed on condolences via the list. When we were last in Goa, in December, we met both the Sequeira's as they were in the same home as Dad in Arpora (Vijaya Ashram, which has recently moved to Moira) Mrs. Sequeira was quite active, always with a smile on her face, leading the hymns for the religious ceremonies and otherwise intently reading the daily paper, sometimes aloud to her husband. My condolences to him and the family who may be on this list as well as to Henry's family. Sincerely, Kevin On 6/5/07, Chris DeSouza < [EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

I do enjoy a good joke and do not mind if one is poked at me. If it is good I will laugh-----and about that glass of wine---- living so close to the greatest wine producing region------its every night for me. Ha! Ha! Good to hear from you Denis.
