Baroda,Corporation Bank and Centurion Bank of Punjab and cheek-by-jowl withthe
State Bank of India, New India Assuarance, National Insurance,besides the
commercial establishments in Sirsat/Ramachandra Building,Vaz Corner and Vaishya
building. Just like the Toli [water tank],parking space in Toliwado is extinct
today. The DRAFT Outline Development Plan [or ODP] proposed for Mapusa up tothe
"Horizon year" 2011 has been notified for objections in theOfficial Gazette in
mid -October [Notification dated 18 Oct., 2007].The specific suggestions or
objections can be filed on plain paperaddressed to the Member-Secretary NGPDA
[type in duplicate and getacknowledgement of the Inward Entry Clerk or send by
registered post,speedpost or courier with P.O.D.] up to 15 December, 2007. On
the protest of Goa CAN, the NGPDA has displayed the plan of ODP atthe Mhapsa
Municipal Council Hall [first floor] and at the TCP officeat KTC bus stand,
Mapusa. Please have a look at it. You will see that the entire block near El
Capitan-Atria-SaldanhaBusiness Centre has been made COMMERCIAL. So is the block
of VishnuSmriti-Tar Building-Fr. Benjamin's house-Urban Health Centre-old
TVSshowroom [since demolished] opposite El Capitan Business Centre. Eventhe
houses of Eric Menezes, Bluma SanFrancisco, Rupa Bhakta, Dr.Emidio Gomes,
Mauricio de Abreu Noronha and others in Feira Alta areshown as COMMERCIAL area.
If you see a trafic jam at the trafficcircle [or an apology for one!] at the
old St. Mary's-Civil Courtjunction at 8.00 A.M. and 1.30 P.M., get ready to see
it round theday, all round the year! Ansabhatt is already having a hotel under
construction at Ximer. Theentire block [including St. Joseph Chapel] has been
proposed asCOMMERCIAL. there will be four schools a short distace away on the
newby-pass road to Canca at Ximer-Keni vaddo, Khorlim. If the fishmarket to
Morodd road is terrible today, just imagine itwith a TRUCK TERMINUS each behind
Nandadeep/Bardez Bazzar and at Morodbehind HDFC Bank to opposite the road to
Bodgueshwar. There will beGODOWNS or WAREHOUSES at both these sites as per the
ODP 2011 ...ifit goes UN-OBJECTED. The choice is yours .....til 15 December,
