Can you check in the Servers Alive logfile if before the error 5 you also get another error ..

From Win 2012 servers I am getting a list of running services with S-alive (so I do have correct domain admin username and password saved into S-alive check-tab). Also from some of the Win 2016 hosts Im getting service list, but from most of Win 2016 servers I only get that error 5. I dont know which part of eventvwr I should see, to check if S-alive is authenticating before checking or is it trying to get list of services with wrong username. (Im actually running S-alive in a Win 10 laptop, where Ive logged in with normal domain user.) Is Servers Alive running as application or as service? Test it first running as application. Make sure that the username/password combination do have the correct rights. An access denied (error 5) is what the (remote)system is giving and Servers Alive is just reporting this. (its NOT an authentication failure its a right issue) Can you see in the eventlog of the (remote) system that you are checking anything about this error? And if so what user is it showing? Hi! Good question. Yes, it is nicely listing the services at the Win 2016 server. So the problem is not that Win 2016 server, but in S-Alive. On the bottom of the check-tab is a pop-up menu Authentication type which has values: Default, IPC$ and Impresonation. Dont know what they mean, but I tried all of those. I was already celebrating, when I chose impresonation and it checked the status of the NT service nicely. But then I noticed that all other checks started to give alerts. Weird that changing just one check, all other checks fails!?! Now I did put it back to default and rebooted S-alive PC. After that those all other check are ok, but still not able to check that one Win 2016 service. Hi! Maybe a simple question, but any help is appreciated We had an service installed in Win 2012 and were using NT service checking in S-Alive. We installed that same service onto Win 2016, which is located in same domain, so the same domain admin credentials are ok. I only changed the server name in S-Alive check and assumed it would nicely continue checking status of the service. But, it is now alerting red and saying: ERR: Getservice status - OpenSCManager - 5-Käyttö estetty. last two words in english is like: Use denied. I already checked, that I dont have windows firewall running on this Win 2016 server.
