Could you set up a dependancy set of checks for this?
Check A = Ping IP address, no alerts, scheduled all the time
|
|
--> Check B = Any check, ALWAYS send alert, dependant on Check A being up.

I am trying to use ServersAlive to tell me when certain events are present
on a machine, not just when they down. The most recent one is a simple
ping. We have a machine on our internal network, not part of the domain,
that has a virus. We have the name (it is a non standard name which makes
us think it is someone's home laptop). And it appears to only be here at
night. I want to be able to do a ping that tells me when this machine is on
the network. This feature would also be helpful for other things when
certain services or processes become active, not when they become inactive.
